Community

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our Partnership in our Community starts here at home with our employees, listening to the needs within our own KPMC family and reaching out to our community. We partner with Mitchell Community College, the Centralina Workforce Development Board, I-CARE Inc. Community Action Agency, My Sister's House, Special Olympics, Humane Society, and American Red Cross. We also serve on other local committees such as Iredell Manufacturing Advisory Board, Iredell Business & Education Alliance Team/CTE Advisory Board, Statesville Chamber of Commerce, and Troutman Business Council.

In addition, KPMC carries its community social responsibilities to the local schools within our county. We provide Environmental Mentorship to our local schools, while engaging the students to become involved in the preservation of our resources.

This is just a few of the Partners making our Community strong and creating a positive social impact.

Environmental Responsibility

KPMC is committed to the responsible management of energy, air emissions, water usage, wastewater management, chemical handling, solid waste management, and recycling of materials in all aspects of our operation. We consider it vital to our core business strategy to be a steward of responsible environmental practices, and to preserve our beautiful natural world for future generations to come.

As an ISO 14001 certified automotive supplier, KPMC Troutman not only meets but strives to exceed all environmental laws and regulations with a commitment to reducing our overall impact. Through our efforts, we have achieved a 97% diversion rate on our way to becoming a Zero Waste to Landfill facility! In addition, we have been successful in reducing our VOC emissions, energy unit usage, and water consumption with aggressive targets year after year.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we participate in several governmental and non-governmental organizations which assists KPMC in raising the bar ever higher through best practice sharing as well as staying on top of changing legislation in our state. These efforts have culminated into accelerating our environmental performance to be leader of environmental management in our business.
