With rising requirement for durability prestressed concrete structure, SEI developed the anticorrosive epoxy coated and filled strand. The strands are coated with epoxy resin which is fully filled among each wires, giving it high corrosion protection and outstanding resistibility against fretting fatigue.

SEMI-Prefabricated strand Cable is HDPE coated multiple Epoxy coated and filled strand. It is prefabricated with certain length adjustability and results in very short erection time on site.

Coating performance of ECF Strand
Bending characteristics of coating
The coating develops no abnormalities even under severe conditions: such as, when would around a cylinder mandrel with a diameter 32 times that of the strand diameter.
Adhesion and continuity of coating under tensioning
The coating follows the steel wire and maintains continuity up until the wire breaks. Even after breakage, the coating demonstrates uniform behavior with the steel wire.

Wedge for ECF Strand
Condition of ECF strand and an exclusive wedge after loading up to rated tension load.
It is possible to bite through the epoxy coating into steel directly.
