Hello, everyone. I'm Yui Hamamoto, a member of the national team of the Japan Table Tennis Association.
I began playing table tennis at age five, and at age seven competed in an official meet for the first time. Since then, I have been practicing very hard every day. When I belonged to the Elite Academy of the Japan Olympic Committee, I competed in many championships, mainly international professional tour events. In addition, I played not only in Asia but also in Europe, and feel that this has helped expand my vision of table tennis. Taking advantage of these experiences, I would like to take my steps powerfully toward the target of competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and earning a medal at the event.
I will continue working hard in order to put in an even better performance, and contribute to local communities and society through table tennis, which is irreplaceable as the best sport for me. I would like to end by asking for your kind support.
