On April 10, we held a Master/Expert certification ceremony. Launched in 2005, the Master/Expert system has been designed to certify employees demonstrating high-level skills at their workplaces as Master/Expert, and ensure that their skills are handed down to the younger generation based on a well-prepared plan. Despite the current progress in work standardization, mechanization, and automation, there are still some fields in which human operations are needed, such as ultimate product quality, precision, and development. I feel that our manufacturing is underpinned by the inheritance of high-level skills demonstrated at manufacturing sites.
With progress in globalization, utilizing Japanese technology in foreign countries is also very crucial. In addition, individual employees are required to demonstrate multiple high-level skills and to contribute to manufacturing. I feel that the scope of the concept regarding high-level skills, and the range of the field where these skills are used are expanding.
Anyway, I believe that high-level skills underpin our manufacturing, leading to our corporate group's development. I hope that the certified employees will continue to demonstrate their skills at their workplaces, and that there will be an increase in the entire level of all workplaces.
