The ST-4100 series, Android*3 Based IP Set Top Box, supports a number of leading edge capabilities including UHD 4K content at 60 frames per second (4Kp60), “HEVC*4” (ITU-T H.265) video compression technology, HDMI2.0/HDCP2.2*5 output and IEEE802.11ac*6 wireless network technology.
The ST-4100 series utilizes the newest “System on Chip” (SoC) hardware from one of the world’s leading chip suppliers. When coupled with in-house developed middleware, “STB Core”, which supports IP video streaming and security technology, such as TTS, MPEG-Dash, Marlin, Play Ready DRM, DLNA, and DTCP-IP*7, the new Set Top Box offers an unparalleled viewing experience for the subscriber. This rich experience is made possible and enhanced by 4Kp60 content being sent over an IP broadband network and Wireless home network, with such video streams being decoded on a real-time basis and streaming of video content to smartphones and tablets using DLNA and DTCP-IP*8.
