Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon 2014

On Sunday, March 2, the 69th Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon, supported by Sumitomo Electric, will be held in Otsu, Shiga.

Broadcasting (scheduled)

NHK General TV/NHK Radio 1: Sunday, March 2, 12:15(JST)~

Check Members of Our Athletics Club in the Race!

Since this event will double as a trial for the Asian Games to be held in Incheon, Korea, the race will draw the participation of many competitive athletes not only from Japan but from foreign countries too.

It is expected that a high-level race will take place amid Lake Biwa’s beautiful scenery in early spring. Of particular note are two members from our athletic club: Noritaka Fujiyama and Yukio Fujimura. This will be the second time for Mr. Fujiyama to compete in the Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon, following last year, while this will be the first time for Mr. Fujimura. We hope that on the day of the event, you will be out on the streets rooting for them. The race will be broadcast live nationwide on NHK General TV and NHK Radio 1.
