At the Fiscal 2013 Kinki Block Invention Commendation Ceremony held by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (Hatsumei Kyokai), staff members of the Sumitomo Electric Group received the “Chairperson Award of the Osaka Hatsumei Kyokai” for inventing a new manufacturing method for heat-resistant aluminum alloy wires.
The award aims to recognize those who have come up with excellent inventions in the Kinki district and contributed to related instruction, encouragement, and human resource development. The award was granted to us this time in recognition of the manufacturing method of aluminum alloy wires with outstanding heat resistance and high conductive property. The application of the method to power cables has enabled greater capacity power transmission than before.
The Sumitomo Electric Group will continue to develop unique, excellent products and thus contribute to the creation of a better society.
