The tensile strength of the hollow fiber membrane in the POREFLON Membrane Module is six to eight times higher than hollow fiber membranes made of other materials. The membrane can withstand a strong aeration free of over membrane breakage during air scouring carried out while guarding membrane fouling.
Moreover, the POREFLON Membrane module is highly resistant to almost all chemicals. This feature not only makes it suitable for filtering wastewater containing various chemicals; it also allows the use of highly concentrated acids or alkalis to remove membrane fouling, ensuring a high recovery performance after cleaning. This feature makes it possible to use the membrane for an extended period of time with repeated cleaning.
The POREFLON Membrane Module has an especially excellent resistance to high alkali concentrations.
