SEI CSR Report 2010
In the CSR Report 2010, the activities in the CSR priority categories are classified according to the types of the related stakeholders so that the readers can find the information of their interest more easily. On the first page of each of the stakeholder-oriented sections , the executives and managers in charge explain the basic concepts and the progress of their activities in their own words. The report also presents the outline of the first stakeholder dialogue organized by the Sumitomo Electric Group. With the theme of “Social Contribution through Business Operations,” the same as the previous fiscal year, Feature: SEI CSR EYE introduces a specific example of our Group’s business operations that contribute to the society and an initiative to enhance our capacity for R&D, which serves as a foundation for such business operations. In addition, the concept of Connected Reporting Framework (CRF) is adopted this fiscal year, and the environmental accounting data are collected and disclosed with the new approach. As in the previous reports, an independent assurance report and comments from an external expert are published at the end of this report to improve its credibility and information disclosure level.
