At the 2011 National Convention on Standardization and Quality Control, held on October 17 under the sponsorship of the Japan Standards Association, Mr. Hirotaka Oomori of Transmission Devices R & D Labs won an "IEC1906 Award."
The IEC 1906 Award is presented by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to individuals who have made significant contributions to the standardization of electrical/electronic technology and related activities. In 2011, 124 persons from 21 countries around the world, including 26 Japanese, received the award.
Mr. Oomori, as a standards development project leader, was awarded for his contribution to the standardization of various optical fiber transmitter/receiver packages, as well as of their interfaces and performance in the field of photoactive components.
We will continue to contribute to the international standardization of photoactive components.
