Affiliated Company of the Month: Japan Communication Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Japan Communication Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd. began manufacturing telecommunications infrastructure civil engineering products for Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation, the predecessor of NTT, in 1971. Since optical fiber lines began replacing copper wire systems soon afterward, the Company has focused on the development, manufacture and sales of products that provide connections between fiber optic cables, contributing to creating the foundation of a broadband information society.

Creating a World Connected by Plastics

Drawing on our core plastic molding technologies that cover a variety of plastic products, ranging from precision components to large molded units, we offer various types of products used for the construction of information and communication infrastructure. Our products are closely related to your lives and activities.

Specifically, the Company engages in the development, manufacture and sales of fiber optic interconnection products that help transmit information, such as closures, cabinets, modules and connectors. These products comprise plastic molded parts and pre-installed optical fiber/units.

■Workplace Atmosphere

All employees taking part in discussions and helping each other

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Japan Communication Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd. In this commemorative year, the Company won the Glorious Excellent Company Award for the fourth consecutive year, for which we also received a special award. Now, the Company has a vibrant atmosphere, enjoying robust demand for fiber optic splitter modules and closures, and also having enhanced its production capacity for FA connector* parts in a bid to increase its global market share. This upward momentum can be partly credited to our corporate culture that emphasizes sharing of information, ensuring thorough understanding, drawing on the collective wisdom, and maintaining smooth workplace communication through discussions in which all employees can take part.

*FA (field assembly) connectors can be assembled on-site easily and quickly without using special tools. This technique, originated in Japan, is coming into widespread use in China and other countries around the world.
