Social Contribution through Business Operations

The SEI Group’s social contributions through business operations are introduced in the following aspects: An urgent restoration of a damaged bridge through shortened delivery of necessary products in the U.S.A. 2008 SEI CSR EYE

HOKKAIDO

In the Annual Shibazakura (moss-pink) Flower Festival held by Hokkaido Sumiden Precision Industries and Hokkaido Electric Industries as part of their local contribution activities, the employees of the two companies are involved as volunteer staff. Through their business activities, the two companies contribute to the social and economic development of the local community.

MALAYSIA SINGAPORE

The SEI Group has manufacturing, sales and corporate operations in Singapore, which has grown to be an international hub for business, and Johor Bahru, an industrial center of Malaysia just 1 km away from Singapore across the Johor Strait.

In Thailand, Sumitomo Electric started business operations early on. Currently, more than 20 Group companies are engaged in product manufacturing and infrastructure building, making great contributions to the social and economic development of Thailand.
