Patent Infringement Lawsuit in China

On June 30, 2017, Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd., one of our subsidiaries, filed a lawsuit with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court against Delphi Packard Electric Systems Co., Ltd. and two other companies for infringement of three of its Chinese patent rights regarding automotive wiring harness connectors.
The Sumitomo Electric Group respects its and others' intellectual property rights. In the case of violation of our intellectual property rights, we will take appropriate action, including legal action if necessary.
